A very simple but beautiful game to play with kids.
Pick up any everyday simple object like a stone or coconut or a mug and come up with as many uses as possible. We play it in turns with our daughter and till one of us losses. Thinking of 20+ uses of coconut and stone make you giggle and also wonder at the same time about the thinking going on in the head of small ones.
Scientifically, it is called the Alternative Uses Test developed by J.P. Guilford in 1967 and more information is found at http://www.mindgarden.com/products/altu.htm
But let us leave the tests and aside and enjoy the game.
